It is no secret we love the beach. The routine of getting up to hang out all day on any vacation is what we live for on each trip. But the beach is different than Disney. Both are quite awesome but both are quite different. For me today started with a trip to the gym than a stroll over to Starbucks to grab a coffee. I walked the boardwalk a while. The boardwalk is beautifully landscaped for miles with differing entry points onto the beach.

Aviation Monument Pavillion
One entry has a monument pavilion area dedicated to Naval Aviation while others are fun sea sculptures.

Carrier Out at Sea
As far as the weather goes, we were under some cloud cover early today but temps were near 90. The water....well....it isn't bath water for sure. Jake and I spent the day doing some great body surfing. Once you got in you did get used to it or maybe we were just numb.
Jill joined Jen to attend a conference session on allergies and Jill really enjoyed it. She even took a quiz and got more right than most around her! After a quick run to the run for lunch we were back on the beach and back into the water. Jen and Jill joined us in the afternoon as the skies were perfect. After a bit of time tossing the frisbee (which is awesome here because it is so open) we decided to get ready for dinner.

Catch 31 at our Hotel
We rode the trolley down Atlantic avenue and dined at iL Giordano's. From the outside you would think "uh oh" but once you got inside, it was an outstanding Italian dining experience. Jake enjoyed a surf and turf (replacing the lobster with scallops) and he was as happy as a 'clam'. Jen and Jill split a risotta that really looked great. I enjoyed a chicken tusony and clams casino.

Kohr's Ice Cream
Needless to say, Jake was gracious enough to share a flake of his scallops with me. Nice. LOL. Our server Geoff was outstanding too as he got us in and out easily under an hour. He was really helpful with everthing and everyone.

Jill in the Christmas Store
nstead of a trolley ride back we decided to walk. We stopped in a great Christmas Beach store and had a few laughs and some "that is kinda cool moments". All along the way, we enjoyed seeing acts on each street corner. There were magicians, singers, jugglers, bands... a great nite life is here. Jill and Jake also got an ice cream from one of our favorites from Myrtle Beach.....Kohr's This was in honor of Jordan who loves Kohr's. WHen we got back to the room, Jake and I grabbed flashlights and headed to the beach to see what creatures were crawling out from the deep. Oddly....we didn't see much this time but did see a TON of sand crabs.
Lights out!
